My final verdict: Crappy writing and surface acting, but a good drama if you want to escape the melodramas or revenge plots. After all, later on, hundreds of lives will depend on them.
#THE HEIRS EP 1 FULL#
Even if Tan and Young Do were bulling people because they wanted to attract the attention of their parents then should I feel sorry for them because they never received love from their parents? No! A person should have consciousness, but those two had no damn scruple, they make people feel miserable.Īs for the other characters from the Empire High School, of course they are all rich brats who tag a person by wealth but let’s face it, despise all the things and even though it’s a school full of snobs, on the other hand, these kids have to face a lot of pressure and everything weights a lot on their shoulders.

I’m not sure if he actually loved her, or was just the fact that Eun Sang was the only woman after his mother who saw him as a good person and as who he really is.Įven thought compared to Tan, I did like Young Do more, in the end they were bullies. He showed maturity by cutting his longing for her thus respecting Eun Sang and not crossing the line. I like that he respected Eun Sang’s choice, being together and loving Tan, rather than forcing himself onto her. These two are different from many points of view but the most important is that Young Do is calculative whereas Tan impulsive. He handled stuff in a more mature way than Tan who was busy rebelling and destroying his life and health, because he couldn’t see Eun Sang. Of course in the beginning he was just a bully rich kid, but he changed the most within the drama. If I were to compare Tan and Young Do, and the reason why I like Young Do more, mostly because of the way he handled thing after the first half of the drama. There were a lot of times when I did liked this guy, but every time I started to like him, the fact that he is a bully made me back off. Over all, Cha Eun Sang is plain she had zero development as a character, thus she was always as a straight line from the beginning to the end. Nothing more than that! Again I can’t believe a woman wrote these characters – I’m not a strong feminist or anything like that, but Korean writers need to come forward with other types of female leads rather than these crappy pitiful and always crying and blaming someone else for her life – kind of character. Your everyday poor and pitiful girl in Korean drama land. Kim Tan is pretty much equivalent with stalking.
#THE HEIRS EP 1 HOW TO#
Yes, he didn’t receive love as a kid so he doesn’t know how to show his love for a girl, but he at least should be careful of his surroundings.Īlso how can people say he looks at her lovingly from behind and stuff like that (yes I’ve actually read those kind of comments about Kim Tan) – but let’s think that the one who was looking at her from behind wasn’t a young handsome rich guy but a middle aged man – creepy right? There’s no difference between Kim Tan and your everyday stalker. I don’t see him taking in consideration Eun Sang’s feelings, he simply orders her to like him.

Its okay to like someone, but don’t interfere into the other person’s life, especially in her case when she can’t afford to lose her part time jobs. I do understand Tan liking Eun Sang, however he was way too forceful towards her whenever she didn’t want to follow him.

No, Kim Tan was nothing more than a rich brat. I can’t believe a woman wrote this character and on top of that I can’t believe others are seeing him as a romantic guy.
#THE HEIRS EP 1 PLUS#
Plus it has way too many characters and follows every one of them thus making useless fillers and taking attention from the actual story.Īs for the characters, I’m going to write a few word about the 3 main character – won’t even bother writing about the others… Also the whole concept felt more like a weekend family drama or even a daily drama rather than a rom-com high school drama. I was hoping that with so many young and popular actors/idols, this show will make me change my thinking regarding some actors moreover regarding idols that go into acting. However, I enjoyed the drama until the first half of it, but after that everything went downhill, and mostly annoying to watch (no idea why I even watched all the 20 episodes….). Yes, the plot is typical, even so I was expecting more than surface acting and a half assed writing style of the story.

Although the plot is a typical Korean drama one, about a poor girl and a rich guy, both fall in love with each other however they can’t fulfill their love because of his family. I’m going to be honest here I was expecting something way better than what I’ve seen.
